3,000 new film and gaming jobs planned with £13m Northern Ireland investment

£13 MILLION investment in a new collaboration between universities and creative industries is aimed at creating 3,000 new jobs in film and gaming within five years.

Ulster University, Queen’s University Belfast and local industry partners have banded together to form Future Screens NI.

It is hoped the funding from the Arts and Humanities Research Council will deliver new creative hubs in Belfast, Newry, Coleraine and Derry, while driving £6billion into the local economy.

The £13 million venture is the largest single investment in the creative industries in Northern Ireland.
